Peter Garrett is an articling student in the firm's Toronto office.
Peter graduated with a joint JD/MBA degree from Queen’s University Faculty of Law and Smith School of Business. Prior to law school, Peter obtained an Honours Bachelor of Medical Sciences degree from Western University and spent his summers coaching tennis. At law school, Peter immersed himself in the Queen’s community as a member of the Queen’s Law Student Society, where he acted as Vice President of Administration in his second year and helped organize events to bring the law community together while advocating for students. Additionally, he acted as a Senior Editor of the Queen’s Law Journal and as a Tutor, as well as volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada and acted as a Director for the Consulting Club during his MBA. Peter spent the first half of his third year of law school studying abroad in Paris, where he immersed himself in the arts, culture, and cuisine of the city. Following an early graduation, Peter worked at a Vancouver-based Real Estate Developer prior to returning to Toronto to article at Fasken. Outside of law school, Peter enjoys running and fitness, playing tennis, and watching reality TV.
Peter participated in the Firm’s Summer Secondment Program in 2023, and was seconded to Kensington Capital Partners Limited.
