Rachel Loif is currently attending the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law.
Prior to law school, Rachel completed her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of British Columbia, graduating with distinction. Outside of her academic studies, Rachel served in various roles in government and public affairs. During her time on Parliament Hill, Rachel was the Special Assistant to the Leader of the Opposition. In this role, she worked with stakeholders and elected officials to advance the Leader’s priorities. A major highlight included coordinating efforts for a bilateral meeting with President Joe Biden. In a separate capacity, Rachel served as the Legislative Assistant to a Member of Parliament, providing research and strategic preparation for the Public Accounts committee. In 2024, Rachel completed an internship at a public affairs firm in Ottawa where she worked directly with clients to advance their policy interests. At the University of Ottawa, she is actively involved in the Jewish Law Students Association.
In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, horseback riding and travel.
