Overview

Sarah Martin is a corporate and commercial lawyer in Fasken’s Vancouver office. Sarah works with clients on a wide range of mining, energy and infrastructure matters, with an emphasis on commercial transactions, procurement and regulatory issues.

Sarah regularly advises clients and takes lead roles in royalty and stream finance, project finance and mergers and acquisitions in the natural resource space. Sarah also advises in respect of various other mining and energy-related arrangements, including joint ventures, shareholders’ agreements, partnership agreements, option agreements and property acquisitions.

Sarah’s practice extends to guiding owners through procurement and bid processes, and related contracts for various projects – ranging from large-scale public infrastructure to small and medium-scale private construction and mines. She is adept at assisting with due diligence and risk assessments for mining projects and companies, navigating permitting and compliance issues, and negotiating agreements with Indigenous communities.
