Humpty Dumpty Snack Foods Inc., a leading North American marketer and distributor of snack foods, announced on May 17, 2006 that HD Snax Ltd. (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Old Dutch Foods Ltd.) had agreed to a $26.8 million all-cash takeover of Humpty Dumpty. Total enterprise value of Humpty Dumpty is about $40 million. This creates a national potato chip company with operations in both Eastern and Western Canada.
