On May 1, 2007, CanGro Foods Inc., announced the sale of its Aylmer and Primo Brand Soup business to Baxters Canada Inc. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Baxters Canada, located in St-Hyacinthe, Québec is a wholly-owned Canadian subsidiary of Baxters Food Group. Baxters Food Group is a manufacturer of high quality ambient, chilled and frozen food, supplying retail and foodservice customers in the UK and in major international markets. CanGro, headquartered in Toronto, Ontario is a leading marketer of canned fruit, tomato, and vegetable products.
