CTVglobemedia completes purchase of Vancouver radio station CFBT-FM

On November 1, 2007, CTVglobemedia Inc. announced the completion of the purchase of the radio assets of The Beat Broadcasting Corporation in Vancouver, BC, which owns and operates Vancouver radio station CFBT-FM (The BEAT 94.5 FM). The CRTC approved the transaction on October 12, 2007. CTVglobemedia Inc. is Canada's premier multi-media company which owns CTV Inc. and The Globe and Mail. CTV Inc. owns and operates conventional television and radio stations across the country, and leading national specialty channels. CTVglobemedia was advised in this transaction by an in-house team led by Andre Serero and Kevin Assaff, and by Fasken Martineau by a team led by Barbara Miller (M&A/communications) and including, among others, Kevin Clinton (M&A) and Don Dalik (BC law matters).
