On November 5, 2009, AltaGas Income Trust announced that its 102-megawatt Bear Mountain Wind Park was fully commissioned and connected to the British Columbia power grid. A total of 34 ENERCON E-82 turbines deliver power to the grid. The $200 million Bear Mountain project is the first fully operational wind farm in the province and was completed on budget and ahead of schedule. ENERCON is one of the world's leading wind turbine manufacturers and operates facilities in Germany, Turkey, Sweden, Portugal, Brazil and India . Fasken Martineau advised ENERCON on the negotiation of its supply contract with AltaGas with a team led by Peter Ascherl and that included, among others, Andrew Gabrielson and Norman Trerise.
