Wesizwe acquired 26% of the Western Bushveld Joint Venture ("WBJV") worth up to ZAR 1 billion. The company acquired Africa Wide Mineral Prospecting and Exploration which held a stake in the WBJV. The transaction increases the company’s platinum output by 47% and increases its stake in the Frishgewaagd Ledig project to 71%. Wesizwe Platinum Limited is headquartered in Johannesburg, South Africa, and engages in the exploration and development of mineral properties in South Africa. The Company focuses on the development of platinum group metals comprising mainly of platinum, palladium, rhodium and gold, as well as other metals associated therewith.
