Study is completed on a project to build an interconnection between Tanzania and Kenya

Fasken Martineau acted as legal advisor in the completion of a study into the legal and institutional framework that must be implemented to foster the development of a regional electricity exchange market between Kenya and Tanzania. The work included prior research for and drafting of a study of the laws and regulations that apply to the construction of an interconnection between Tanzania and Kenya, prior research for and drafting of a study of the institutional framework governing the energy market in Kenya and Tanzania, and the drafting of recommendations respecting the measures that should be taken in order to foster the development of an electricity exchange market between these two countries.
