Advised Chubb Insurance in Aveos CCAA proceedings

Aveos was a full-service maintenance, repair and overhaul provider of the airline industry. It operated maintenance centers across Canada and employed approximately 2,600 employees in Canada. Aveos had to resort to CCAA protection given, inter alia, a significant reduction in maintenance work volume, as well as rising labour costs. Fasken Martineau is advising Chubb Insurance Company with respect to director and officer liability matters arising from the liquidation of the Aveos business within CCAA proceedings in the Province of Quebec, with a team led by Aubrey Kauffman and including Karen Sargeant.
