Dessau

On September 24, 2014, Dessau announced the sale of its engineering assets to Stantec, an Albertan design firm. This acquisition will strengthen Stantec’s presence in Québec, and will allow Dessau to integrate a team of more than 14,000 employees, some 8,000 of whom work throughout Canada. The transaction should be concluded by 2015. Founded in Canada in 1957, Dessau is one of the largest construction-engineering firms in the country that operates not only in Canada, but throughout the world. A Fasken Martineau team consisting of Robert Paré, Gabriel Castiglio, Joëlle El-Féghali, Joëlle Simard, Leslie Milton (competition) and Dominique Monet (employment) counselled Dessau in the context of this transaction.
