The Co-operators acquires Bill Hartley Insurance Services

On January 7, 2015, The Co-operators General Insurance Company announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary had completed the purchase of Bill Hartley Insurance Services. The two companies have maintained a long-term relationship dating back to 1950 sharing similar views and priorities. The Co-operators Group Limited is a Canadian-owned co-operative with $37 billion in assets offering home, auto, life, group, travel, commercial and farm insurance and investments products. The Co-operators General Insurance Company was advised by a Fasken team that included Kareen Zimmer (Mergers & Acquisitions, Financial Institutions) and Marcus Turner (Corporate/Commercial).
