In February 2016, the Court held in favour of our client, a private school in the Montreal area, and immediately dismissed a very substantial part of a claim filed by 3 groups of parents. The parents were erroneously claiming that the school was wrong in its interpretation of "educational services" as provided at section 93 of the Act respecting private education .

Unhappy with the dismissal of their claim, certain parents tried to obtain permission to appeal of this judgment. The Court of Appeal refused such permission, and the judgment thus stands.

A team made up of Marc James Tacheji and Camille Duguay represented this private school in connection with this matter.
