Advised Impala Platinum Holdings Limited and Zimplats Holdings Limited on all aspects of the Government of Zimbabwe’s indigenisation program including the negotiation of an Indigenisation Implementation Plan, proposed government participation, employee and local community trust structures, and release of land and mining right conversion negotiations.
The project provides exposure to political risk issues and managing Government development objectives with project economic and operational requirements. This includes implementing highly flexible responses to changing Government positions while maintaining and continuing ongoing operations.
Fasken advised Impala and Zimplats with a team led by Tanneke Heersche which included Dimitri Cavvadas and Geoff Cowper.
