On September 24, 2018, Kraft Heinz Canada (“Kraft Heinz”), a subsidiary of The Kraft Heinz Company, the fifth largest food and beverage company in the world, announced that it has completed the acquisition of substantially all of the assets of The Ethical Bean Coffee Company Ltd. (“Ethical Bean”). Founded in 2003, Ethical Bean is a leading roaster of 100% fairtrade, certified organic coffee, and is committed to social responsibility, global awareness and environmental accountability.
