Overview

Client

ACL Services Ltd.

On January 31, 2019, ACL Services Ltd. (ACL), acquired Relational Security Corp. (Rsam), a leading IT, vendor, and security risk management solutions company, headquartered in Secaucus, New Jersey. The acquisition more than doubles ACL’s R&D capacity, allowing them to deliver innovative services to approximately 7,000 customers in 125 countries.

The acquisition marks a pivotal time for the emerging governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) software market. The GRC solution brings opposite ends of the market together to advance both ACL and Rsam’s goal of becoming the first name in GRC.

As part of the consolidation, ACL and Rsam rebranded as Galvanize. Galvanize promises to help organizations achieve business objectives by overcoming the challenges of risk management through innovation.

Fasken advised ACL Services Ltd. with a team including Ally Bharmal, Iain Mant and Katie Peardon (M&A), Andrew Jackson, KC Miu and Shiva Pritchard (Banking), Michael Coburn (Tax).
