BHP completes earn-in and joint venture agreement with Luminex Resources over copper-gold project in Ecuador

BHP Exploration Chile SpA and Luminex Resources Corp. entered into an earn-in and joint venture agreement. Over the course of three earn-in periods BHP Exploration Chile SpA may invest up to US$75 million in exploration expenditures and make up to $7 million of cash payments to earn up to a 70% in the copper-gold project in Ecuador. Fasken advised BHP Exploration Chile SpA with a team comprised of Paul Fornazzari, Nancy Eastman and Elyse Velagic (Mining/Corporate/Commercial) and Adam Cepler (Corporate).
