Jonathan was retained by Desjardins Financial as lead trial counsel on two weeks’ notice before trial in March 2019. Jonathan succeeded at trial in having the claims for punitive damages and fundamental breach dismissed. The plaintiff appealed and Jonathan will be acting as lead appellate counsel for Desjardins at the appeal hearing scheduled for early 2021.
