On July 1, 2019, WELL Health Technologies Corp. (TSXV:WELL) acquired Kela Atlantic Inc. (dba KAI Innovations) for up to $17.75 million (subject to full payment of a conditional earn-out). The acquisition of KAI Innovations significantly expanded WELL's digital health portfolio to provide electronic medical records SaaS services to approximately 852 medical clinics across Canada, supporting more than 4000 registered doctors & practitioners and over 15 million patients. Fasken advised WELL Health with a team that included Will Shaw, Shahrooz Nabavi, Andre Garber and Maria Valdivieso.
