On December 10, 2019, the Montreal-based ready-to-cook company Cook it, announced its acquisition of one of its main competitors in the industry, MissFresh, from Canadian supermarket giant, Metro Inc.
As the second most important ready-to-cook company in Quebec, and the third overall in Canada, Cook it will continue MissFresh's operations under the Cook it banner. With this acquisition, the Cook it will serve its current customers in addition to those of MissFresh and move its entire production to new facilities growing its footprint from 10,000 square feet to 34,000 square feet.
