On September 1, 2020, Rodeo FX, one of Montreal’s leading film and TV visual-effects companies, has acquired BLVD-MTL, a local multimedia studio, allowing Rodeo FX to occupy a bigger position in the Montreal advertising business.
Rodeo FX’ core business is the creation of computer-generated effects for major international films and TV series, such as Game of Thrones, Lovecraft Country (HBO), Stranger Things, Jack Ryan and Tales from the Loop.
Fasken, with a team comprised of Denis Chaurette, Véronique Harvey-Bertrand and Oleg Stratiev (M&A) and Jane Jiaoyu Wu (Intellectual Property), acted as legal counsel to Rodeo FX in connection with the acquisition.
