On October 29, 2020, Lafarge Canada Inc. announced that they have acquired Mixcor Aggregates Inc.’s Alberta-based assets as a part of their continued dedication to growing Canada’s economy.
As a part of the deal, twenty-six aggregate production sites will join Lafarge's existing business in Western Canada, continuing to lead the way in green building solutions. The deal demonstrates the Company’s commitment to investing in Alberta to help contribute to the Province’s economic recovery efforts.
Fasken advised Lafarge with a team working in both the Vancouver and Calgary offices, led by Carmine Boskovich (Real Estate and Corporate/Commercial) and Grant Foster (M&A and Corporate/Commercial), which included Aman Bindra and Cara Chu (Real Estate), Matt Janssen (Corporate/Commercial), and Taleesha Thorogood (Government Relations and Strategy) and Ivonne Garcia (Paralegal, Calgary).
