Fasken defended BC Housing Management Commission in a significant human rights complaint relating to the duty to accommodate. Following a hearing, the BC Human Rights Tribunal dismissed the complaint finding that despite the allegations to the contrary, BC Housing had reasonably accommodated a disabled employee in his continued employment with BC Housing.
The finding was significant in protecting the reputation of BC Housing Management Commission and reinforcing the appropriateness of its approach to accommodating and managing its employee.
