On 22 April 2021, Equiem Services Ltd acquired Vicinitee Limited from Broadgate Estates Limited, part of the British Land Group, in an all-share transaction.
Vicinitee is British Land’s digital property management platform that seeks to streamline property management operations and facilities communications between property owners, occupiers and contractors. It is used across more than 150 buildings throughout the UK, including Broadgate, The Shard and The Gherkin.
Founded in Australia in 2011, Equiem developed the first digital tenant experience platform, and its technology stack includes mobile and desktop apps, communications and event management, an e-commerce marketplace, leasing dashboards and flexible space management. The acquisition of Vicinitee paves the way for the integration of Vicinitee’s property management functionality into Equiem’s global platform and is the first step in Equiem's transformation from a tenant experience company into a workplace experience company.
