The Union grieved that certain employees were entitled to a premium for agreeing to work consecutive weekends. Karen Sargeant, Laura Epplett and Maria-Christina Cavicchia argued that the Union was stopped from proceeding with the grievances because the issue had been decided by another arbitrator and that proceeding further would amount to an abuse of process. Arbitrator George Surdykowski agreed and dismissed all of the grievances.
