On May 29, 2023, MedTech Ventures Fund I LP raised C$41.5 million of commitments at its first closing, including commitments from Investissement Québec and Fonds de solidarité des travailleurs du Québec (F.T.Q.).
This venture capital fund is managed by Sectoral Asset Management Inc. and focuses on early-stage Canadian medical technology companies with a strong growth potential. The investment of Investissement Québec and Fonds de solidarité des travailleurs du Québec (F.T.Q.) is part of the ongoing collaboration between those two major actors in Québec to collaborate on a number of investment initiatives, particularly in the life sciences sector.
