On October 4, 2024, a syndicate led by Eira Thomas and HRA Group of Companies (the “Syndicate”) completed an acquisition of Clara Rough Diamond Sales Platform, a rough diamond digital marketplace (the “Platform”) from Lucara Diamond Corp (“Lucara”).
Under the terms of the agreement, the Syndicate, who originally founded the Platform, now control 100% ownership of Lucara’s stake in Clara Diamond Solutions GP Inc., Clara Diamond Solutions Limited Partnership, and Clara Diamond Solutions B.V., including all intellectual property rights, commercial contracts, and operating assets.
Fasken advised the Syndicate with a team led by Grant McGlaughlin which included Brittany Vanword, Enoch Chang and Kevin Yip.
