Confidential Client

Fasken advised an international provider of subsea equipment and technologies regarding a financial service provider’s threat to terminate services over concerns that our client’s Canadian subsidiary violated applicable sanctions law. The closure of accounts in Canada would have caused significant disruption to its Canadian operations. We provided legal opinions, interfaced with the Canadian government, and acted on our client’s behalf in dealings with the financial institution.
