Harmony Energy Limited

Harmony Energy has completed the sale of its BESS project in Poland to EDF Renewables Polska.

On December 12, 2024, the rights to the project were acquired by EDF Renewables Polska, the Polish subsidiary of the EDF Group, a French multinational in the electricity sector. The project will be built and operated in Poland by EDF Renewables Polska. Representing a major milestone for the Polish energy sector, the 200 MW / 400 MWh site will be one of the largest BESS projects in Europe.

This major transaction underlines Harmony Energy's strategic commitment to expanding its presence in Europe, against a backdrop of growing demand for advanced energy storage solutions.

As countries accelerate their transition to renewable energies, BESS plays an essential role in grid stabilization and the large-scale integration of intermittent energy sources such as wind and solar.

A Fasken team composed of Guy Winter and including Chloe Gill-Braun, Malgorzata Janiec, Ksawery Paczek and Benjamin Stein advised Harmony Energy Limited in connection with this transaction.
