Overview

Tara completed her JD at Thompson River’s University. Tara distinguished herself early in her legal career, starting as a research assistant in the field of sports law and contributing to the education of her peers by tutoring first-year law students. Her academic excellence was consistently recognized as she was named to the Dean's List for all three years of her law school tenure. Tara's understanding of legal concepts was further underscored by her receipt of course prizes in Property, Evidence, Trusts, and Business Associations, highlighting her breadth of knowledge and dedication to her studies. Additionally, she was an active member of the TRU Women in Law club and is committed to advancing the role of women in the legal profession. 

Tara earned a Masters in Management Studies and a Bachelor of Science from Duke University. During her five years there, she was a varsity rower and team captain of the Duke Women’s Rowing team.  

Tara grew up on Vancouver Island and enjoys outdoor activities including hiking, biking, skiing and surfing.
