Thanoja Gnanatheevam is an articling student in the firm's Toronto office.
Thanoja graduated from Lincoln Alexander School of Law at Toronto Metropolitan University, with distinction. Prior to law school, she completed an Honours Specialization in Health Sciences with Biology at Western University, where she was on the Dean’s List and a recipient of the Western Scholarship of Distinction. During the summer of 2022, Thanoja was a Law Student in a large legal department in the courier industry, where she conducted legal research on various topics and gained practical exposure to arbitration, trademarks, contract review and file management. At Lincoln Alexander, Thanoja worked as an Academic Peer Tutor for first year students, Teaching Assistant for a legal research and writing course, and Research Assistant for a professor and a law faculty committee. She also participated in the Canadian Client Counsel Competition where she and her partner placed as semi-finalists. Having volunteered for Pro Bono Students Canada and for the Young Workers’ Rights Hub, Thanoja is passionate about community involvement and access to justice initiatives. In her spare time, Thanoja enjoys live music, playing soccer, reading, and spending time with loved ones.
Thanoja participated in the Firm’s Summer Secondment Program in 2023, and was seconded to an arm’s length agency of the Ontario government.
