Overview

From publishing scientific research to becoming proficient in three languages, H. Tina Sun is a multilingual lawyer who practices in civil litigation. She is passionate about the law and strives to provide exceptional client service.

Tina began her legal career through summering and articling with the firm. She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa, having graduated from the French Common Law Program. Fluent in English, French, and Mandarin, Tina demonstrates versatility and cultural fluency, which she applies in her legal practice. Before law school, she completed an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences with a Minor in Management, graduating cum laude. During her undergraduate years, Tina published a research article in the Journal of Materials Chemistry C, showcasing her interdisciplinary skills.

Tina maintains a broad civil litigation practice. She takes pride in her meticulous approach to every file, emphasizing efficient file management, thorough research, and a commitment to providing client-focused services. This dedication earned her the Clarey B. Sproule Award during her tenure at the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic, where she worked as a Division Leader and caseworker in the Family Law Division.

Her broad range of experiences also includes years of service at The Ottawa Hospital, where she was awarded the Ontario Volunteer Service Award for her commitment to patient care. She also taught music at the Nepean School of Music as a Royal Conservatory of Music piano teacher, demonstrating her ability to mentor and inspire others. In her free time, Tina enjoys swimming, baking, and playing piano.
