Prior to law school, he graduated with Dean’s Honours from the Lazaridis School of Business at Wilfrid Laurier, where he majored in Finance and Economics, and was a Varsity Soccer Athlete and Academic All-Canadian. Through Pro Bono Students Canada, he works part-time at the Justice for Children and Youth, providing legal services to at-risk youth in the areas of criminal, tax, immigration, and family law. He recently also secured a placement at Parkdale Legal Services Clinic, working within the Social Assistance, Violence and Health division.  Beyond academics and professional pursuits, Yianni is the Executive Director and Founding Board Member of the Epiphany Initiative Foundation, supporting underprivileged student-athletes.

As an avid endurance athlete, he enjoys training for marathons and triathlons in his spare time.
