Youcef Belrachid is a lawyer in our Tax Law group. He focuses on tax planning and corporate taxation. Youcef participates in the analysis and implementation of tax strategies in the context of large-scale commercial transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions.
Youcef holds a bachelor’s degree in civil law from Université de Montréal, where he was recognized on the Dean’s List for academic excellence. He also holds a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School and a master’s degree in tax law from HEC Montréal.
Before joining Fasken, Youcef notably worked as a research assistant at Université de Montréal. There, he carried out important work regarding the contractual obligations’ legal framework for the professor and lawyer emeritus Didier Lluelles and was also a research assistant at the Centre de recherche en droit public (CRDP) under the supervision of Professor Vincent Gautrais. Youcef also contributed to the Osgoode Hall Law Journal as an Associate Editor, where he was involved in the peer review process of academic publications.
