Aniket Bhatt is an associate in Fasken's Political Law practice and is also a member of the firm's Government Relations and Strategy practice. He advises clients on corporate governance and ESG matters.
As a political law practitioner, Aniket advises on conflict of interest, lobbyist registration, lobbying law-compliance, and election finance, among other political law issues. He also provides support to our resident municipal integrity commissioner on code of conduct and conflict of interest issues.
In addition, Aniket advises businesses, industry associations, and non-profit organizations on a range of matters related to government relations and strategy as well as corporate governance.
Aniket graduated from the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law, with distinction. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate studies at Western University. Aniket also serves as the Director of Research for H2GO Canada, a not-for-profit corporation focused on accelerating the development of a market for hydrogen and remains an active advocate for renewable energy. During his legal studies, Aniket founded a legal innovation start-up that allows organizations to automate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategy and disclosure. He also hosts a podcast focused on regulatory developments in ESG and sustainability.
In his spare time, Aniket enjoys reading history, listening to podcasts, drinking espresso, and watching football and Formula 1.
