Brittany Vanword is an associate in the firm's Capital Markets and Mergers & Acquisitions group. She maintains a broad corporate/commercial practice advising both private and publicly-held companies. Brittany has been involved in a variety of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, share and asset purchase transactions, and public and private financings.
Brittany graduated from Western University, Faculty of Law where she was on the Dean’s Honor List and received a number of awards, including the Law Society of Ontario Prize for ranking amongst the top 15 students of the graduating class. Prior to law school, Brittany earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice & Public Policy from the University of Guelph.
Before beginning her career in law, Brittany spent several years working in marketing and business development at an international engineering consulting firm. While at law school, Brittany worked as a Team Leader at Community Legal Services where she managed her own files and represented clients in a variety of matters. Brittany was also actively involved in the community and held various volunteer positions.
Brittany summered and articled with the firm. As a summer student, Brittany was seconded to the University Health Network.
