Claire has a broad civil litigation practice and arbitration practice. She is committed to understanding her clients’ business and dispute resolution needs and strives to provide clients with high quality legal work in a comfortable, empathetic and trustworthy environment. She has represented clients in various litigation matters in all levels of courts in Alberta as well as before administered and ad hoc arbitral tribunals. Claire has extensive experience assisting clients with matters related to breach of contract, negligence and shareholder disputes. Claire also represents employers in wrongful dismissal disputes, particularly in the context of shareholder disputes.
Claire also has a growing privacy practice. She has experience defending private sector clients in breach and compliance hearings before regulators as well as resisting disclosure of confidential business information before institutions, regulators and the courts. Claire has also assisted clients with strategic requests to obtain material information for business or legal purposes using provincial or federal freedom of information legislation.
