David Pivrnec is an associate in the Firm's Capital Markets and Mergers & Acquisitions Group. David assists both private and public clients on a variety of transactions including mergers and acquisitions, private placements, other debt and equity financings and go-public transactions.
David graduated from Western Law. Prior to law school, he completed a Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies at Western University where he was on the Dean’s Honour List and received a number of awards including the Gold Medal for Honours Specialization in Finance.
David worked for several summers at Compass Group Canada, most recently as a Legal Intern. Before starting law school, David also held several roles at BroadGrain Commodities, beginning as a Rotational Associate with time spent in the derivatives department, the international logistics division, and the treasury department, before working as a Financial Accountant. During law school, he was a Caseworker and Case Manager with the Business Law Clinic and was a finalist in the Torys LLP Negotiation Competition. In his spare time, David enjoys playing and watching sports such as hockey, soccer, cycling, and tennis. He also enjoys trivia, reading, traveling, and personal investing.
