Over the years, At-The-Market offerings have been an available, but seldom used, form of public capital raising transaction. This presentation will consider the pros and cons of At-The-Market offerings relative to more traditional financing structures that are available to mining companies seeking to raise capital in Canada. Topics that will be canvassed relate to the manner in which At-The-Market offerings have been evolving in the Canadian marketplace, a consideration of the cost of capital for At-The-Market offerings, and initiatives that are being undertaken by the securities regulators and the Toronto Stock Exchange to improve access to this form of capital raising transaction. The panel will bring diverse perspectives from a legal, financial and regulatory background, and discuss reasons why mining companies should consider undertaking an At-The-Market offering.
