We have seen a shift in the corporate landscape with the rise of corporate focus on social justice issues such as anti-Black racism and Indigenous reconciliation. For years the mining industry has been focused on gender equity and seen slow progress, with fewer than 1 in 5 mining leaders being women. In this session, we will hear from a cross-section of industry leaders in discussion with the Firm’s Chief Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Officer to explore how the industry is addressing this slow progress, along with the heightened focus on anti-racism and Indigenous reconciliation.
