Jacob Wagner practices in all areas of labour, employment and human rights law.
Jacob is an Associate with the Labour, Employment and Human Rights group at Fasken’s Toronto office. Jacob maintains a broad labour and employment practice and represents both unionized and non-unionized employers.
Jacob is a graduate of the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law. Prior to law school, he obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts at the University of Toronto graduating with High Distinction. He was also a Dean’s List Scholar and received the John Horner Undergraduate Scholarship in Geography and the University of Toronto Association of Geography Alumni Undergraduate Research Award. Jacob also obtained a Certificate in the Performing Arts from the Canadian College of the Performing Arts and danced professionally on multiple North American tours. While at law school, Jacob founded the (IN)VISIBLE Initiative which supports a community of equity and inclusion on campus, as well as acted as Co-President of the Business Law Society, and was a member of OUTLaw. He also co-produced and directed the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law musical which raised over $10,000 for local charities. During his undergraduate studies, Jacob was a member of the Academic Board and Striking Committee of the University of Toronto’s Governing Council.
Jacob summered at the Firm in 2019 and was seconded to Kraft Heinz. Jacob articled with the Firm in 2020-2021 before joining as an Associate. Jacob enjoys theatre, travel, and athletics, including beach volleyball and curling.
