Jo’s practice focuses on commercial litigation and arbitration, with an emphasis on complex, high-value commercial dispute resolution, primarily in the construction and energy sectors. She advises clients on general commercial disputes, including contract breaches, negligence claims and investor-state disputes. Jo has extensive experience with providing commercial and practice advice in resolving complex legal disputes in a collaborative manner.
Jo has acted for both owners and contractors in a variety of different construction litigation and arbitration cases as well as for manufacturers in product liability cases. She has a breadth of experience in guiding parties through all stages of complex disputes in both litigation and in domestic and international arbitrations.
Jo is called in three Canadian jurisdictions as well as England and Wales and provides legal services in both regions. Jo has appeared before the Court of Kings Bench in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba as well as the Court of Appeal in Saskatchewan.
Prior to joining Fasken, Jo worked with a recognized regional law firm in Regina, Saskatchewan and prior to that she clerked with the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal and then later returned to the Court of Appeal as the Executive Officer to the Chief Justice of Saskatchewan.
