Justine is a partner in the capital markets and mergers and acquisitions group in Fasken’s Toronto office. In this role, Justine provides legal advice to publicly-held issuers, private companies, strategic and private equity investors, and other market participants. Justine is a detail-oriented yet also solutions-oriented advisor. Clients appreciate that her clear and practical legal advice helps them achieve their objectives on the most complex corporate transactions as well as on day-to-day matters.
Justine’s practice includes advising issuers and other capital markets participants on transformative domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, go-public processes and privatizations. Justine also acts for issuers in connection with offerings of debt and equity securities and advises on Canadian securities law and stock exchange requirements, as well as corporate governance matters.
Justine advises private companies and investors on purchase and sale transactions and other matters of corporate law. Justine has particular experience assisting private equity clients with purchases of Canadian businesses.
In 2017, Justine was seconded to Arthur J. Gallagher Canada Limited as Legal Counsel. In this capacity, she drafted and negotiated commercial agreements and provided legal advice on a variety of matters, including acquisitions.
Justine summered and articled with the firm. She holds a law degree from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and an undergraduate degree from Georgetown University.
