Kathryn McCoy is an associate in Fasken's Capital Markets and Mergers & Acquisitions group. She maintains a broad corporate/commercial and securities law practice, advising both private and publicly-held companies.
Kathryn is a graduate of the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law and the Rotman School of Management, where she completed the joint JD/MBA program. Prior to law school, she completed a Bachelor of Commerce at Queen’s University, where she earned the Sutton Scholarship for Higher Education and graduated on the Dean’s List with Distinction.
Kathryn previously worked as a Summer Associate at a legal technology firm, where she drafted research memoranda to guide the development of artificial intelligence products in tax law. At law school, Kathryn was actively engaged in the University of Toronto community as a Clinic Volunteer with the Investor Protection Clinic, providing legal education and information to vulnerable community groups, and as a JD/MBA Fellow with the Capital Markets Institute, drafting capital markets research papers.
Kathryn summered and articled with the firm before joining as an associate.
