Kosta Kostic is a partner in our Corporate/Commercial group in the Montréal office. He has a broad range of experience in business law, particularly in the areas of corporate finance, securities law and mergers and acquisitions.
Kosta represents clients in various industries in the context of complex commercial transactions. He advises both issuers and investment dealers in private and public debt and equity offerings. He also has extensive experience as lead counsel in a number of major private and public merger and acquisition transactions and corporate reorganization and restructuring transactions. He has acted for clients in connection with their initial public offerings, follow-on offerings and listings on the Toronto Stock Exchange, the TSX Venture Exchange and the Canadian Securities Exchange.
Kosta advises clients in the mining, oil and natural gas, renewable energy, information technology, biotechnology, manufacturing, retail and transportation industries with respect to their ongoing corporate and securities law obligations.
Kosta’s legal experience is nationally recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada, which lists him as a leading lawyer in the areas of Mergers & Acquisitions Law and Securities Law. Kosta is also recognized as a leading and repeatedly recommended lawyer in the areas of Corporate Commercial Law and Corporate Mid-Market by the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory.
Kosta is involved in his community and is a member of the Local Advisory Committee for the TSX Venture Exchange. He has also served as a director or corporate secretary of several publicly listed and private companies.
Before joining our Corporate/Commercial group, Kosta was a partner in the National Capital Markets and M&A Group of a national business law firm.
