Overview

Mackenzie is a compliance-minded, licensed paralegal who helps businesses, organizations and individuals navigate the field of Political Law – in particular, lobbyist registration and compliance.

Utilizing her strong understanding of federal, provincial, and municipal government and political systems, Mackenzie adeptly guides clients through the development of lobbying mandates, jurisdictionally-specific filing requirements, and periodic registration maintenance. Mackenzie has experience working with lobbyists in all major Canadian jurisdictions and is able to anticipate and address client needs while helping them remain compliant. Throughout her tenure at Fasken, Mackenzie has also leveraged her communication skills to build relationships with the offices of provincial and federal lobbying regulators.

Although the bulk of her practice focuses on lobbyist registration and compliance, Mackenzie also provides support to our resident municipal integrity commissioner, and she monitors legislative and policy-related proceedings to ensure that clients remain up-to-date on all matters of interest.
