Marilou Simard’s practice focuses on all aspects of public and administrative law. She assists clients in the areas of access to information, municipal law, agricultural law and disciplinary law.
In addition to pleading before various judicial and administrative tribunals, Marilou is called upon to advise companies, including real estate developers, on complex regulatory issues relating to zoning and transportation.
She regularly drafts appeals for judicial review and pleads them before the Superior Court.
Before articling at Fasken, Marilou worked as a law student in the legal department of two large Québec companies in the media and pharmaceutical industries, respectively. She also articled for a Superior Court judge and her academic achievements have earned her the distinction of being named to the Dean's Honor List.
