Ottawa partner Marcia Mills comments on a proposal made by a politician to ban all U.S. firms from the Canadian government’s procurement process, in an article published in The Hill Times.
She notably comments on the legal recourse banned companies would have to challenge the measure.
“Those bidders would have remedies before the Canadian International Trade Tribunal if the only reason they are not being permitted to bid is their affiliation with the U.S., whether they are a U.S. company or a U.S. subsidiary,” said partner Marcia Mills.
