Overview

Olfa Riahi joined Fasken as a law student in May 2021 after completing her Bachelor of Law concurrently with a Certificate in Political Science at Université Laval.

Before settling in Québec and starting law school, Olfa had 15 years of professional experience in Tunisia, her country of birth, where she completed a Master of Business Administration degree. Driven by curiosity and challenges, she immersed herself in the world of business and entrepreneurship before moving into the world of media. She was selected for the Duke University Media Fellows program in North Carolina to study the fundamental questions around the role of media in a democracy. She was also selected as one of the southern Mediterranean’s most promising young people in the field of media, communication and social media, which led her to the SafirLab – Laboratory for Change program at Université Paris-Dauphine. She is the co-author of Le syndrome de Siliana, a book calling for the abolition of the death penalty in the Arab world.

During her studies at Université Laval, she served as a research assistant for several of her professors, working on natural resources and conflicts, the use of digital technology by parliamentarians around the world, and the counting of comments on the yellow report of the Office de révision du Code civil du Québec
