Rachel practices labour, employment, and human rights law. She provides advice and representation to employers on a wide range of workplace issues.
Rachel has represented provincially and federally regulated employers on wrongful dismissal, accommodation and disability, discrimination, and harassment matters. Rachel has appeared before the Superior Court of Justice and Court of Appeal in Ontario. Rachel also provides proactive advice to employers on all areas touching the workforce, and regularly drafts employment contracts and policies to ensure compliance with legislation.
Rachel received her Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto. While studying at the University of Toronto, she worked as a caseworker at Advocacy for Injured Workers, a community legal clinic representing injured workers in workers’ compensation claims.
Before attending law school, Rachel received a Bachelor of Arts & Science degree from McMaster University.
Prior to joining Fasken, Rachel practiced at a boutique labour and employment firm.
